This class provides a deeply relaxing lying down guided meditation based on Michael’s book and training program PEACE WITHIN: Calm Your Mind, Open Your Heart, Embrace Your Soul, and Heal Your Life — this class has been a popular one locally for years. The practice is based on his years studying Yoga Nidra, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, and lying down meditation practices from around the world. This somatic (body oriented) mindfulness practice helps participants release and let go of emotional, mental and physical tension and stress in a safe, supportive and relaxing environment. It also serves as a wonderful introduction to Michael’s more in depth classes and training/workshops. Bring a yoga or pilates mat, thin cushion for your head and a light cover if you’d like to maximize comfort during this practice. For those who want additional support a bolster or pillow under your knees and an eye pillow can help support your practice.
